The first question that I asked myself many times over before this website was published and just existed in my debates was this-

“Does Web Need Another Review Site?”

No! It does not.

There are plenty of websites which happily call themselves a review sites and do no more than offering cut and paste info followed by affiliate links.

So!

What web needs is a review site that tells the truth!

There are few sites doing that job but those are very few, just countable on fingers.

Therefore Internet Marketing Meta Reviews was born.

This website would publish reviews and meta reviews on internet marketing products.

What is A Meta Review?

You may not have heard the term before. I have coined this term. The concept is not new though. In scientific studies a meta analysis is a study which collects the available evidence to produce a final verdict on the query raised.

I have extrapolated the concept to reviews.

When I write a Meta Review, I conduct a search on the product and available reviews and reactions on them. I collect the data and then analyse it. My final opinion is based on the available evidence and my interpretation of the evidence.

Why Meta Review?

For every product that I review, I need to have an access to the product. Then only I can study it and analyze it. This holds true for the products I buy or have been given access to.

It is not possible to buy every product that comes out for sake of review. It would leave me broke very soon and moreover I do not  need many of the launched products.

So the alternative remains to go to the people who have used the product and have an opinion on them. To avoid the bias I randomly pick many websites  that meet my inclusion criteria and base a meta review on their writings.

Is Meta Review A Good Method?

Let us go back too the science. In scientific publications, the Meta Analysis is considered as the best evidence. if there is a Meta Analysis available on a query, the answer given by meta analysis is the best applicable unsurpassed by any other form of study.

Therefore as  a concept meta reviews are excellent method. The only limitation of this study is the availability of the good evidence on a particular product.

I take care to review only those products where true opinions are available. I gather them to remove the bias and produce an answer that could serve the interest of many people looking for unbiased opinions.

Salesy Reviews and False Reviews

I could not finish without mentioning these two kinds of reviews. In fact for every review that you might want to take a look at, you would find that search engines are full of website results which are offering reviews which are salesy [take a tone that wants to make a sale rather than dispensing information] and/or are false [ reviewer does not opine, it just cuts and pastes from the website of the product.

Both of these kinds of reviews aim at making a sale and not providing the info.

Both of these kinds are always kept out of my meta review sample collection.

I always provide references in the end of review. It is a good scientific practice.

Yes! the reviews on this websites contain affiliate links.

A metareview takes around 3-4 hours and affiliate link is inserted for little compensation if you choose to buy the product.

You may not and that is fine with me.
